Stubborn Inner Race When trying to remove a stubborn inner race try welding around the circumference of the inside. This will cause the metal to shrink, allowing for easier removal. |

Brake Fluid Loss: To avoid loosing brake fluid try this simple trick. Hold the brake pedal down with hood prop or a board. This holds the valve in the master cylinder, cutting off flow of the brake fluid. |
Off-Roading Grows! Statistics show more and more people are enjoying OHV use with every passing year. Young and old alike are rock crawling, mud bogging and trail riding with their family and friends. From the 1990's until 2003 the number of offroad vehicles grew from 400,000 to over 8 million! Now that's some numbers we can all be proud of! |

A New Park in NH? New Hampshire has drawn up plans for a new ATV park. While its intended purpose is to provide an area for ATV riders, there is supposed to be some land designated for four wheelers. The plan is quite involved, with camping, ATV wash areas, a gravel pit, color coded trails and other facilities. Let's hope the four wheeler's area grows! |
Supporting our fellow wheelers We want everyone to stand together and support one another. There is power in numbers and the off roading community has the numbers. Now we need to work together for the sake of our sport. Rabid Offroad Inc wants to be a part of your fund raisers, events and causes. Talk to us and tell how we can help. We have donated items to a blood drive and sponsor a community 4x4 contest. Let us work together. |

YJ WRANGLER FACELIFT
Welcome the new addition to Rabid Offroad! Our lifted YJ is getting modified. We plan to do some minor repairs and upgrades to improve performance on and off road. This Jeep comes with a 2" body lift and 4" suspension lift. It sits atop 33" rubber. It has sway bar extensions, a drop pitman arm, KC lights and lots of other goodies. The home-made bumpers will be replaced by our custom fabricated ones and it does need some body work. Don't worry, we aren't going to make this Jeep a show vehicle. It will look good and get dirty with the best of them. Stop by and see what we have already done and what is planned for the future. As always there are lots of pictures on the project pages and in the misc pics sections.

CJ-5 Budget Build - Updated!
This is a project in the making for many years. It was some time ago the thought of building a customized jeep for off roading came to mind. After many trips to junkyards and answering newspaper ads, the makings of our CJ-5 came about. Follow us through the process of building this old jeep into a four wheeling monster! Rabid Offroad Inc will show you all the phases of this transformation. Step by step accounts of the CJ-5 including photos of before and after (when we can). This build up is a cheap jeep project. Pennies will be pinched and money saved wherever possible! In the end this jeep will be a safe, road worthy vehicle we will take off road to test. There will be plenty of pictures for you to see just how well our mechanical work turned out!
